From December, 2009 to January, 2010 I developed an educational review tool for Sponholtz Productions. The software helps students learn molecular geometry by visualizing different molecules in three dimensions. Students use the software by holding a flash card in front of their web cam, the code interprets the pattern printed on the review card and draws a molecule in three dimensions scaled and oriented to match the card. Using this software students can rotate and move molecules around in real-time.
Below is a video of the software being used in a classroom.
